Gin Tonic The Spanish Take on a British Classic

  • 1 ¼ oz london gin
  • 2 dashes Angostura bitters
  • 1 4-5 slice of lemon peel
  • 7 oz tonic water
  • ice
  • Garnish rosemary, cucumber, juniper berry or whatever


  • Take a large white wine style glass and fill with ice. Let glass chill for several minutes
  • Dump ice from glass, and wipe inside with the peel of lemon
  • Leave the peel in the glass
  • Add 3 -4 ice cubes to glass
  • Slowly pour gin over ice
  • Add 2 dashes of bitters
  • Slowly pour tonic water, letting fizz gently to combine flavors
  • Using a stir stick or handle of a spoon, gently stir one or two rounds of the glass
  • Add 1 -2 more ice cubes
  • Enjoy!
